The global OLED TV market continues to grow. In the second half of 2019, LG Display's South Korea (Paju) factory originally planned to produce 70,000 pieces per month, and Guangzhou's factory 60,000 pieces per month, a total of 130,000 OLED glass plates. Only 70,000 pieces are produced per month. Only half of the original plan also made the global large-size OLED panel supply pull alarm.
Since LG Display is the sole supplier of large OLED panels, the market is worried that the world's large OLED panels will face shortages.
In 2020, American brands Vizio, China's Xiaomi and Japan's Sharp all plan to launch large-size OLED TVs and join the ranks of 15 other brands such as LG Electronics to boost demand for large OLED panels.
